Emotional issues

A few events in my life over the past few weeks have caused me to sit back and reflect on Life. For the most part life is good and I am very fortunate to have many things to be grateful for. However, there were still a few events in my younger years that caused some emotional turmoil. The death of close friends, actually my very first boy friend died when he was still in 8th grade, then a close girl friend when we where in high school. There were a few other life
changing experiences caused some deep emotional trauma. The majority of us have faced some type of emotional trauma in our younger years that quite possibly has lingered with us into our adult years. I recently have experienced the loss of my fur baby after losing her father in April, on the top of that some friends that didn’t understand my upset, that I expected would, added to the upset.

The society we live in today is full of emotional turmoil. More than ever, researchers are delving into the impact that emotional states have on the physical condition of the body. Many doctors are discovering the possibility of emotional problems linked back to childhood and how they can compromise the physical body. Fear and trauma can produce conditioned emotional responses that,
unless released, will hamper our ability to live and enjoy life fully.

In 1989, researchers agreed that the “amygdala” (there is one on each side of the inner brain) plays a major role in storing and releasing emotional trauma and that aromas have a profound effect in triggering responses from the amygdala. Dr. Joseph Ledoux of New York Medical University was one of the first to suggest that the use of aroma could be a major breakthrough in helping to trigger the release of pent up emotional trauma.

There are many essential oil blends that have been created precisely for the purpose of helping to release emotions. D. Gary Young has developed an emotional clearing protocol using essential oil blends. The following is a sample of what he suggests:

1. VALOR: This should be the first blend used and applied to the bottoms of your feet when starting emotional clearing.
2. 3 WISE MEN: This was formulated to open the subconscious mind through pineal stimulation to release deep-seated trauma.
3. HARMONY: This blend promotes physical and emotional healing through harmonic balance of the energy centers of the body.
